Intentions ::

Realizing music's power, understanding its inspiration and ability to move people physically, spiritually and emotionally was only the beginning. Picking up a pair of 1200’s over a decade ago after being inspired by the likes of DJ Shadow, Plastikman and Sasha & Digweed, Schmid-E's future, little to his knowledge at the time, would be forever altered by this force of music.

Schmid-E brings with him the notion that blurring boundaries and recognizing beauty in all styles depending on the set and setting is key. His sets range from full-on Goa and Psytrance to Progressive, House, Breaks, Downtempo, Trip Hop, IDM and Ambient. He has shared decks, performed with and is responsible for bringing many of the world's most cutting-edge talent in electronic music to Colorado for their first time, such as Infected Mushroom, Yahel, Electric Skychurch, Steve Porter, Max Graham, Kode IV, Adam Ohana / AN-TEN-NAE, Medicine Drum, Slacker, Robert Oleysyck, Aba Structure, X-Dream, DJ Brian, John Kelley, Treavor and Petey of Moontribe, Forest Green, Ocelot, Deeper in Zen, Julius Papp, Blue Girl, Phil Smart, Mars, David Hollands and the list goes on.

Schmid-E has played in over 10 states and headlined prestigious events and camps at the Winter Music Conference in Miami, FL, Burning Man (6 times) in Black Rock City, NV, Xara Dulzura in San Diego, CA, Gathering of the Tribes in Los Angeles, CA, Earthdance (4 times) and many other regional events in the last decade in and out of state. He is also a founder and organizer of Apogaea, the Colorado regional burn, and is at home in any setting, ready to raise people's consciousness through music.

Founder of Wacky Shack Productions, he is proud to be a major part of organizing the only two, multi-day open air electronic music festivals in Colorado's history; Ether Chakra in 2001 and Psychic Chakra - the third eye in 2002. Both events attracted a large attendance with multiple stages and some of the finest talent from all over North America.
